It's the ICS Blog Hop. Our theme this month is fall. If you've come via Audra Monk's blog, welcome! Isn't that Country Home suite wonderful!! If you've just happened to stop by, well thank you so much!
I decided to something different and since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I've combined the Ribbon of Courage stamp set and dies with the Painted Harvest stamp set.
Trying to use pink and make it feel like fall was a bit of a challenge but I think bringing in Merry Merlot and our gorgeous Bright Copper Shimmer Paint helped me to pull it off.
Using Light and Dark Petal Pink, Light Lovely Lipstick, Light Flirty Flamingo, and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends® I colored in the graphic ribbon that was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I left some areas blank then filled them in with the Bright Copper Shimmer Paint and an Aqua Painter.
I inked the sentiment and the caps of the acorns stamps with the paint and a Sponge Dauber before stamping them. Pulling apart a piece of the 3/16" Braided Linen Trim created the rustic bow.
The three 2-step sunflowers were stamped in Petal Pink and Merry Merlot, Petal Pink and Grapefruit Grove with Crumb Cake centers and Crumb Cake and Soft Suede with an Early Espresso center. I used an Aqua Painter and the Bright Copper Shimmer Paint to trim the edges and add some shiny details with an Aqua Painter.
I stamped the leaves in Granny Apple Green ink then added the copper to the stamp before stamping onto Granny Apple Green cardstock. I sponged additional copper paint around the edges of the leaves after I had punched them with the Leaf Punch.
The card base is Merry Merlot and the 4" x 5-1/4" layer of Petal Pink cardstock was embossed with the Tufted Textured Impression Embossing Folder and accented after the fact with little copper dots.
