WOW! Where did the summer go? I can hardly believe it's September and we're bringing on the Halloween. I've already seen a peek at Christmas in some of our stores.
Anywho, did you notice the crow? If you're a long-time Stampin' Up! customer, you'll remember him from the 2011 Holiday Catalog. He was a sample in the catalog and I didn't have instructions but I thought he was great and figured out how to make him. I event taught a class that was a big success. But I digress.
This month's stamp club will feature Halloween cards. Not everyone sends them but I hope they get some ideas to use in other cards like this one for the U-shaped fold that lays flat and fits into an A2 envelope. Place a $35 order using my September Hostess Code KZAPGX3K and I'll send you the supplies and a pdf instruction sheet on how to make this beauty. It's a lot easier than you may think.
This card is my salute to Harry Potter and all the students returning to Hogwarts. It includes references to Gryffindor House colors - scarlet (Cherry Cobbler) and gold (Crushed Curry), the Sorting Hat, Hedwig the owl (Harry's pet), Scabbers the rat (Ron Weasley's pet) and Potions Class. I did a video to show you how I created some of the elements for the card.
The last card is simple, at least I think so. I used the Label Me Pretty Bundle for the sentiment and even created the ends of the sentiment with the punch.
You only have until September 9th
to take advantage of this Paper Pumpkin offer.
There are great kits arriving for the holidays!
